Product Identification

This document provides a summary of the HIMA BV 7032, which is a data connecting cable designed for use within HIMA safety systems.

Primary Application

The primary function of the BV 7032 cable is to establish the I/O bus communication link. It is specifically used for the following connections:

  • Between individual I/O subracks.

  • From an I/O subrack to the central rack.

  • To a PES (Programmable Electronic System) coupling module.

Technical Specifications

  • Cable Type: 50-core flat cable, constructed in a round form factor.


  • Connectors: The cable is terminated on both ends with 50-pin connectors.

  • Wiring: The cable provides a direct 1-to-1 connection for all 50 cores.

  • Standard Lengths: 0.5 meters and 1.0 meter.
