und dem Anwendungsengineering unter einem Dach Alleinstellung und Synergiepotenzial. Ziel des 

neuen Management-Teams ist die systematische Erhöhung des Unternehmenswerts.

auch Marktführer. Deshalb bieten die Industrieregionen Amerika und Asien gute Wachstumschancen 

insbesondere in der General Industry. Ausgangspunkt dieser regionalen Expansion sind die starken Markt

positionen von kuka Systems in Nordamerika und Brasilien sowie in China und Indien, den jeweils größ-

ten lokalen Märkten. Dabei dient der Bekanntheitsgrad der Marke kuka in der Automobilindustrie als 

„Türöffner“ für die General Industry. Dies gilt sowohl für Robotics als auch für Systems.

Hauptzielmärkte des Geschäftsbereichs Robotics in Amerika und Asien sind die Kunststoff- und Nah

rungsmittelindustrie, die Metallbe- und verarbeitung sowie die Logistik. Besonders erfolgreich war 

der Geschäftsbereich Robotics 2008 im Ausbau des General Industry-Geschäfts mit einem zweistelligen 

Zuwachs bei den Auftragseingängen in Höhe von 24,4% gegenüber Vorjahr.
