2500-PADP is a power adapter that can be used to apply the CTI 2500 series power supply to the Texas Instruments Series 500 I/O chassis. It provides a transparent transition solution for upgrading the old Series 500 systems without requiring a complete replacement of the entire system.

The 500 series power supply that fails can be replaced with the CTI 2500 series power supply. When sufficient budget is available later, the entire system can be upgraded to the CTI 2500 series, and the investment in the already replaced power supply will not be lost.
