5. Installation Method & Operating Instructions

Correct Mounting Methodology

The unit requires direct plug-in insertion onto a compliant ETEL modular backplane unit inside a sealed electrical enclosure.

Power Interlock Check: Verify that the primary power source and auxiliary 24 VDC supplies are completely powered off before sliding the module onto the guide pins.

Backplane Engagement: Firmly seat the rear plug connectors into the backplane socket and hand-tighten the retention screws to secure a low-impedance ground connection.

Shielding Connection: All high-frequency encoder cables must utilize metal-housed DB connectors securely bonded to the chassis to shield low-voltage feedback lines from electrical noise.
