Hardware Installation Method

The controller is a plug-in module designed strictly for insertion into a matching ETEL high-voltage multi-axis backplane.

Safety Discharge Check: Turn off all AC mains power lines and auxiliary 24 VDC supplies. Wait a minimum of 10 minutes to ensure internal high-voltage bulk capacitors discharge completely before touching contacts.

Backplane Seating: Slide the module firmly down the guide rails of the backplane until the heavy-current power pins lock fully into the socket. Secure the front panel faceplate retention screws to ensure a continuous safety ground connection.

Cable Shielding: Connect position feedback to ports X10/X11 using high-quality, double-shielded twisted-pair cables. Securely screw the metal connector hoods into the module frame to prevent high-frequency PWM switching from injecting electrical noise.
