Emerson DeltaV DCS Introduction

DeltaV systems provide powerful, easy-to-use software for designing and operating process controls.

DeltaV utilizes standard Windows functionality to provide a familiar user interface. 

The latest version, DELTAV14 in English and R6 in Chinese, has the number one market share in a variety of DCS markets. 

Its systems are very popular internationally, and it has extensive cooperation with the world's leading petrochemical companies.

Principle of operation:

The turbine sensor and preamplifier form an oscillator, the amplitude of which attenuates with the proximity of the sensor probe to the metal DUT, 

the amplitude of attenuation being proportional to the distance between the sensor and the DUT. 

The sensor and preamplifier are linearly calibrated at the factory in sets using calibration material 42CrMo4. 

so no further calibration is required for installation. 

The user only needs to adjust the air gap between the sensor and the measuring surface until the desired signal is obtained from the output of the preamplifier.

Sensor Models:

To meet a variety of measurement needs and environmental requirements, EPRO offers a wide selection of turbine sensor models and configurations.

Sensors are available with mounting threads or rectangular mounting flanges.

The measuring range is from 1mm to 20mm.

Thread sizes are ф6mm, ф10mm and ф18mm metric or imperial.

Depending on the model, the sensors are available in the following options:

1. Different thread lengths;

2. The end of the cable can be selected from self-locking waterproof connector or bare wire method;

3. The cable can be selected as armored or non-armored;

4、Connector or non-connector can be selected at 1m cable;

5、Applicable temperature: -35℃-+380℃.
