Product Introduction / Overview

The Hirschmann MM20-Z6Z6T1T1SZHH is a 4-port Fast Ethernet Media Module designed for Hirschmann's MICE (Modular Industrial Communication Equipment) modular switch family, including the MS20. MS30. and MNS20 series.

This hot-swappable hybrid module features 2x Fast Ethernet SFP slots (Ports 1 & 2) and 2x RJ45 copper ports (Ports 3 & 4).

 It allows industrial network operators to bridge localized copper device drops (e.g., PLCs, HMIs) with customizable optical fiber uplinks (multimode, single-mode, or long-haul via M-FAST-SFP transceivers) in a single modular chassis slot.

Packaging: Keep inside anti-static ESD shielding bags prior to deployment. Keep protective dust caps installed on empty SFP slots and RJ45 ports.

Operating Instructions

1.Observe Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Safety:Handling & Safety。

Wear an anti-static wrist strap connected to cabinet ground before handling or unboxing the MM20 module.

2.Mount Module into Base Chassis:Physical Insertion。

Align the module guide rails with an open slot on the active MS20/MS30 switch frame. Push the module firmly until the backplane multi-pin connector fully seats into the host chassis.

3.Secure Retaining Screws:Fastening。

Tighten the top and bottom captive screws on the module faceplate using a flathead screwdriver to ensure complete electrical grounding and mechanical stability.

4.Connect Optical & Copper Links:Cable Integration。

Insert approved Hirschmann Fast Ethernet SFP transceivers (M-FAST-SFP series) into Ports 1 & 2 until latched. Plug shielded Cat5e or Cat6 cables into the RJ45 jacks for Ports 3 & 4.

Use the front-panel status LEDs to identify and resolve common communication issues:
