 Equipped with 4 x 100BASE-FX Multimode SC optical fiber ports, it delivers secure, high-speed optical transmission immune to electromagnetic interference (EMI) over extended distances.

5. Installation and Maintenance

Installation

Module Placement: Slide the MSM20 module smoothly into an empty slot on the PowerMICE (MSP) switch unit until it seats firmly into the backplane.

Fasten Retaining Screws: Secure top and bottom thumbscrews to ensure continuous ground grounding and mechanical stability against vibration.

Fiber Connection: Insert SC multimode fiber patch cables into Port 1–4 connectors until they click into position. Verify optical TX/RX alignment.

Maintenance

Optical Cleaning: Always use alcohol-free fiber cleaning tools on the SC fiber ends before insertion to prevent dust contamination on optical transceivers.
