Installation and Maintenance

Installation Guidelines

Rack Safety: Power down the VME box completely. Never "hot-swap" a VME video card as it can lead to permanent damage to the card or the backplane pins.

Pin Alignment: Carefully align the multi-pin DIN connectors with the backplane. This card is dense and requires a firm, level push to seat properly.

Cable Connection: Secure the VGA output cable to the front of the card. Ensure the screws are tightened to prevent the loss of sync during tool vibration.

Maintenance Procedures

Memory Check: If the display shows "artifacts" or corrupted text, the onboard video RAM may be failing due to thermal stress.
