Triconex 3723X 32-Channel TMR Analog Input Module with HART
Triconex 3723X is a Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) Analog Input Module designed by Schneider Electric for high-integrity Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). Used in Tricon CX chassis, it provides continuous 2-out-of-3 majority voting and pass-through support for HART-enabled smart field devices.
Product Overview
System Integrity: Operates on a TMR architecture to deliver SIL 3 compliant fault tolerance for Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Fire & Gas (F&G), and critical process interlocks.
HART Integration: Supports HART pass-through communication, enabling device configuration, diagnostics, and monitoring over existing analog wiring.
High Density: Features 32 single-ended input channels per module for efficient space utilization in process control cabinets.
Availability: Supports online hot-swapping to ensure zero downtime during maintenance.

Operating Instructions
Chassis Slotting: Insert the 3723X module firmly into the dedicated I/O slot of the Tricon CX expansion chassis.
Field Wiring: Connect the field signal cables to the corresponding Tricon CX termination panel using appropriate 250 Ω resistors for 4-20 mA loops.
System Configuration: Define the input ranges (0-5 V, 4-20 mA) and HART pass-through settings in TriStation 1131 software.
Hot Swapping: To replace a fault-indicated module, insert the replacement module into the adjacent slot (if configured as hot spare) or perform an online swap directly.
Fault Diagnosis
Status indicators on the module front panel provide rapid visual diagnostics:
PASS (Green): Module passed self-diagnostics and is operating normally.
FAULT (Red): Internal fault detected on one or more TMR channels; module requires inspection or replacement.
ACTIVE (Yellow): Module is actively processing field signals.
FIELD (Yellow/Red): Field wiring or field loop fault detected (e.g., open circuit, short circuit, NAMUR NE 43 out-of-range signal).
