Installation and Maintenance

Installation Procedures

Cutout Preparation: Cut the control cabinet or machine housing panel according to the precise dimensions specified in the Beckhoff engineering documents.

Thermal Seal Verification: Ensure that the outer perimeter sealing gasket is properly seated before inserting the IPC into the cutout area to maintain clean separation between environments.

Clamping Installation: Tighten the integrated fastening clamps uniformly from the inside. This compresses the seal and exposes the rear-facing cooling fins to the ambient external airflow.

Preventative Maintenance Guidelines

⚠️ Caution: Do not cover or block the external cooling fins on the back of the chassis, as restricted airflow can lead to thermal throttling or emergency shutdowns.

Fin Inspection: Periodically check the external heat sink fins. Wipe away heavy blankets of dust or debris using a clean, dry compressed air blast to ensure peak passive cooling performance.
