The unit consists of the main carrier board (P-25-59A) paired with its dedicated secondary processing interface board (P-25-59B). Together, they filter, amplify, and convert raw analog signals from eddy-current proximity probes and velocity transducers into standardized output signals for control systems (DCS/PLC) and safety shutdown networks.

Installation Method

Power Off the Rack: Turn off the main rack power supply before inserting or removing the module.

ESD Protection: Wear a grounded anti-static wrist strap when handling the P-25-59A and P-25-59B circuit boards.

Card Rail Alignment: Align the upper and lower edges of the PCB with the card guide rails inside the rack chassis.

Inserting the Module: Gently push the board module into the rack slot until the rear connectors fully engage with the backplane. Firmly press the faceplate handles to lock the module in place.

Fastening: Tighten the top and bottom retention screws on the front panel to secure the board against vibration.

Operating Instructions

Wiring Connection: Connect sensor field cables and signal output lines to the designated backplane terminal block as outlined in the system wiring diagram. Ensure sensor cable shields are grounded at a single designated grounding point.

Power-Up Verification: Turn on the rack power supply. Observe the front panel status LEDs. A solid green power/status indicator indicates normal operation.

Zero & Span Calibration: If replacing a module, perform initial zero adjustments and baseline signal verification using system configuration software or onboard calibration trim pots as specified in the system manual.

Routine Monitoring: Periodically check channel status indicators and output values on the master monitoring system to ensure stable signal transmission.
