The MM20-M2T1T1T1SAHH plugs directly into the expansion slots of MS20 or MS30 modular switches. Its hybrid design allows control engineers to connect up to three local IP field devices (such as PLCs, HMIs, or I/O racks) via standard RJ45 cables while simultaneously linking to a remote network cabinet over an interference-free multimode fiber connection.

Installation Method

Safety Preparation: Put on a grounded electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap before handling the card.

Module Alignment: Locate an open expansion slot on the host MS20 or MS30 basic switch unit. Line up the top and bottom rails of the module with the guide slots inside the switch frame.

Insertion: Push the media module steadily into the slot until its rear connector locks completely into the backplane board.

Fastening: Tighten the captive thumb screws on the top and bottom of the module faceplate to ensure electrical grounding and mechanical security.

Cabling:

Plug Category 5e/6 industrial RJ45 cables into the three copper ports.

Remove the dust cap from the optical SC port and attach a duplex multimode fiber cable, making sure Tx connects to Rx on the remote end.

Operating Instructions

LED Link Verification: Check the front-panel LEDs after powering on. Green indicates an active link, while flickering amber signals data packet traffic.

Optical Fiber Care: Keep the rubber protective cap fitted on the SC fiber port whenever no cable is plugged in to protect the internal optical lens from dust accumulation.

Hot-Swapping Routine: The module can be safely inserted or replaced while the host switch remains operational. Always remove connected network cables prior to unmounting the unit.
