Jumper Configuration: Before power-up, verify jumper settings for VMEbus system controller functions and SRAM battery enable (usually J1/J2 headers).

Battery Maintenance: The lithium batteries for SRAM and the TOD clock have a typical lifespan of 5-10 years. 

For "New Old Stock" units, these should be tested and replaced if the voltage drops below 2.8V.

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD): Always handle the board in an ESD-safe environment. The MC68040 and IndustryPack chips are highly sensitive to static.
