The ADLINK NuPRO-840 is a full-size PICMG 1.0 industrial Single Board Computer (SBC) designed for high-reliability industrial automation, embedded computing,
measurement, and process control applications.
Supporting Socket 478 Intel Pentium 4 / Celeron processors with Front Side Bus (FSB) speeds up to 533/400 MHz, the NuPRO-840 delivers dependable performance across harsh operating environments.
Equipped with integrated VGA display, Gigabit Ethernet, Ultra ATA/100.
USB 2.0 interfaces, and onboard legacy I/O support, this CPU board provides a comprehensive compute platform for backward-compatible industrial control systems, legacy equipment retrofits, and long-lifecycle OEM deployments.

Operating Instructions
Pre-Installation Checklist:
Ensure the industrial chassis and backplane are completely powered off and disconnected from mains supply.
Ground yourself using an anti-static wrist strap before handling the CPU board.
Processor & Memory Installation:
Install the Socket 478 processor and ensure proper thermal compound application before latching the CPU cooler.
Insert compatible DDR DIMM modules securely into the slots until side retention clips lock in place.
Card Slot Insertion:
Align the NuPRO-840 card edge with the target slot on the PICMG 1.0 passive backplane.
Firmly push down evenly on both ends of the board until the gold fingers are fully seated in the slot connectors.
Secure the retaining bracket with the top chassis mounting screw.
Cable & Interface Hookup:
Connect IDE storage drives, system front-panel pin headers (Power SW, Reset, HDD LED), and peripheral cables (VGA, USB, LAN, COM).
Power-On & BIOS Setup:
Supply power to the system, enter BIOS setup by pressing DEL during boot, set correct boot order, and configure IDE/SATA settings.
Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting
