SAMSUNG SSAS-PRO SPDO-16 (Transistor Digital Output Module)
SAMSUNG SSAS-PRO SPDO-16 is a 16-channel transistor digital output module built for marine automation, ship power management systems, and heavy industrial control panels.
Operating within the Samsung SSAS-Pro framework, the SPDO-16 converts system control logic into discrete solid-state switching signals.
It drives field devices such as solenoid valves, auxiliary relays, status indicator lamps, and interlock contactors with high-frequency switching speed and long operational life free from mechanical contact wear.

Operating Instructions
Pre-Installation Wiring: Verify that field load devices (solenoid coils, relays) operate within 24V DC and do not exceed 0.5A per channel.
Backplane & Power Mounting: Snap the SPDO-16 onto the system DIN rail or rack housing. Connect the external 24V DC power source to the module supply terminals.
Inductive Load Handling: While internal flyback protection is built-in, installing an external freewheeling diode across heavy inductive solenoids prolongs module lifespan.
Power-Up Verification: Turn on field power first, followed by system logic power. Ensure channel LEDs respond correctly to logic output commands.
Fault Diagnosis
Channel LED Off During Command: Indicates logic signal loss, loose terminal wiring, or blown internal channel protection fuses.
Overcurrent / Short Circuit Alarm: Triggered when load current exceeds 0.5A on a channel. The internal circuit shuts down the affected channel to protect the transistor logic.
System Bus Communication Fault: Check the redundant communication connectors if all output LEDs flash or fail to refresh.
Thermal Shutdown: Overheating caused by total module current exceeding limits or ambient temperatures above +55°C. Check control panel ventilation.
