The 8256-010 is a 24V clockwise rotating actuator compatible with the Woodward EPG series of speed controllers. The 8256-010 is used for speed control of diesel, gas and gasoline engines.

Woodward  The 8256-010 is a 24V clockwise rotating actuator

Part of the Woodward electric Governor family is Product 8256-010. This model is an actuator used as part of a complete EPG system. Like the other actuators in the series, the Model 8256-010 can be used in various types of engines. The actuator can be used in gas, gasoline and diesel engines. This product is powered by a 24V battery and consumes a maximum of 60 watts of power. Type 8256-010 is best suited for low-friction and low-mass fuel linkages.

The actuator can withstand high temperatures and is mounted on a panel near the engine. However, it is not very suitable for high temperatures. This product's environmental temperature should be kept between - 40 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit, to ensure the normal operation of actuators. The power supply voltage range of this model is 10Vdc to 16 Vdc. It is in use when using the clockwise and counterclockwise. The actuators should be operated using magnetic pickups and speed controls to create a complete EPG system.
