SAMSUNG SSAS-PRO SPTB-DI dedicated terminal board
SAMSUNG SSAS-PRO SPBK-X32-12 is a heavy-duty, 12-slot system backplane designed as the central structural and electrical communication chassis for the Samsung SSAS-Pro (Ship Automation System Pro) control platform.
Engineered specifically for medium-to-large marine automation, vessel engine monitoring, and industrial switchboard automation, the SPBK-X32-12 provides high-density slot expansion for housing the central CPU (such as RSPC-X32),
power supply modules (SPSU-X32), and up to 10 expansion I/O units.
Featuring multi-layer printed circuit board (PCB) traces with protective conformal coating, it ensures high-speed, noise-immune data transfer and stable power distribution across all connected modules.
Application Cases
Marine Main Engine & Auxiliary Monitoring: Serves as the central I/O rack in shipboard engine control rooms, consolidating temperature, pressure, level, and valve control signals.
Ship Power Management Systems (PMS): Houses breaker control units, generator monitoring interfaces, and automatic load-sharing modules within main switchboard panels.
Integrated Alarm & Control Systems (IACS): Functions as a distributed remote terminal unit (RTU) rack located across cargo hold control spaces and steering gear rooms.
Industrial Process Control Racks: Installed in land-based utility control cabinets for power plant monitoring and heavy industrial machinery automation.
Product Advantages and Features
Optimized 12-Slot Density: Provides a balanced 12-slot capacity (1x Power, 1x CPU, 10x I/O slots) ideal for medium-scale automation projects where an 8-slot rack is too small and a 16-slot rack is oversized.
High-Speed Redundant Parallel Bus: Features integrated backplane bus lines designed for real-time CPU-to-I/O data synchronization with low latency.
Marine-Grade Environmental Shielding: Coated with protective conformal layer to prevent trace shorting caused by high humidity, salt spray, engine oil mist, and dust accumulation.
Vibration-Resistant Connector Architecture: Heavy-duty module edge connectors ensure positive locking and continuous contact retention under severe engine room vibration.
Integrated Dual Voltage Rails: Distributes regulated 24V DC field supply and 5V DC system logic power directly from the SPSU supply module across all backplane slots.

Installation and Maintenance
Cabinet Panel Mounting: Secure the SPBK-X32-12 backplane flat against the control cabinet mounting plate using all factory mounting holes to ensure structural rigidity against mechanical vibration.
Grounding Connection: Bolt a heavy copper grounding wire directly from the chassis earth terminal lug to the cabinet's main grounding bus bar.
Module Insertion: Carefully align modules with the top and bottom guide rails and push firmly into the backplane connector until retaining clips click into place.
Maintenance Inspection: During routine plant or vessel maintenance, check for loose chassis screws and ensure backplane slots remain clean and free from conductive debris or excessive dust buildup.
