Woodward's electric governor Model 8256-060 is used as a clockwise actuator. The output axis on the model returns counterclockwise. Model 8256-060 complies with EU directives and does not require a hydraulic system or mechanical drive power to function properly.

About 8256-060

Model 8256-060 is an actuator that can be used in prime movers without mechanical drive or hydraulic supply. It is part of the Woodward Electric Governor family and is one of three components used in EPG systems. The system consists of actuators, electronic speed control and magnetic sensors. Product 8256-060 complies with EU directives and uses clockwise rotation. It can run with a variety of engines powered by diesel, gasoline or natural gas.

The actuator is designed for heat up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. This model can also use an optional speed adjustment with a speed change of ±5%. The Model 8256-060 weighs less than 2 pounds and consumes no more than 60 watts. The minimum voltage supply of this product is 10 Vdc and the maximum is 16 Vdc. At each end of this actuator, there will be a zigzag output shaft.
