System Manual for the Modular Systems
Introduction
The modular HIMatrix F60 system described in this manual is safety-related and can be
used for various purposes. The following conditions must be met to safely install and start
up the HIMatrix automation devices, and to ensure safety during their operation and
maintenance:
Knowledge of regulations.
Proper technical implementation of the safety instructions detailed in this manual
performed by qualified personnel.
HIMA will not be held liable for severe personal injuries, damage to property or the
surroundings caused by any of the following: unqualified personnel working on or with the
devices, de-activation or bypassing of safety functions, or failure to comply with the
instructions detailed in this manual (resulting in faults or impaired safety functionality).
HIMatrix automation devices have been developed, manufactured and tested in compliance
with the pertinent safety standards and regulations. They may only be used for the intended
applications under the specified environmental conditions and only in connection with
approved external devices.

This document addresses system planners, configuration engineers, programmers of
automation devices and personnel authorized to implement, operate and maintain the
modules and systems. Specialized knowledge of safety-related automation systems is
required.
