The ControlEdge™ HC900 process automation controller is an ideal control solution to meet users' needs, ranging from thermal control in boilers, furnaces, kilns and dryers to unit processing in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biofuels, pilot plants and other applications


What's this?


The ControlEdge HC900 belongs to the ControlEdge 900 platform and is an advanced process and logic controller. It adopts a modular and scalable design and is intended to be used in an economical and efficient manner with various process equipment. It features a touchscreen as its interface, making it very easy to operate. The process and safety controller features a flexible architecture that can adapt to the most demanding applications.


With its advanced functions and multi-functional connectivity, it can perform customized precise control. ControlEdge HC900 also simplifies the documentation process and eliminates archiving errors.


How does it work?


The modular and scalable ControlEdge HC900 process and safety controller offers three rack sizes and three CPU performance levels to meet various automation requirements, providing users with the flexibility to start from what they need and then expand as needed. Its Windows-based designer software runs over Ethernet and can easily configure the logic controller and operator interface.


The touchscreen operator interface and user-friendly custom display enable simplified and intuitive operation, help eliminate errors, and provide improved data access and process supervision. This logic controller includes a series of controller CPU modules, various I/O rack sizes, and multiple local or remote I/O racks for each system, providing flexibility. Compared with most logic controllers, this logic controller also offers excellent PID loop control and more powerful simulation processing without affecting logic performance.

The ControlEdge HC900 SIL2 system is highly suitable for applications that require the rapid entry of factories and operations into a safe state under harsh operating conditions. When used in conjunction with Experion HS, it can meet the requirements of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 for the pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries, which require advanced controller safety and protection, change management and automatic electronic record keeping functions
