Installation and Maintenance

Installation

CT Safety: DANGER! Never unplug the 500MTM02 module while the primary current is flowing. Always short-circuit the external Current Transformer (CT) secondary terminals first.

Terminal Torque: Ensure the rear-side screw terminals are tightened to the specified torque. High resistance at these points can cause measurement errors or localized heating.

Slot Verification: This module must be seated in the analog input section of the subrack. Verify that the guide rails are clear of debris before insertion.

Maintenance

Secondary Injection Testing: During routine maintenance, perform a secondary injection test to verify the module's scaling accuracy compared to the HMI readings.
