The Yokogawa AVR10D-A22010 is a Duplexed V net Router (Bus Converter) used in the CENTUM VP Distributed Control System (DCS).

 Its primary role is to bridge the gap between different network architectures, specifically connecting modern Vnet/IP domains to legacy V net or VL net domains.

1. Introduction

The AVR10D-A22010 acts as a "translator" and traffic manager between two generations of Yokogawa control networks. 

It allows the latest Human Interface Stations (HIS) and Engineering Stations (ENG) residing on a high-speed Vnet/IP (Ethernet-based) network to monitor and control Field Control Stations (FCS) located on an older V net (Coaxial-based) or VL net network. 

The "Duplexed" designation means it features redundant communication modules and power supplies for continuous operation.

3. Product Advantages and Features
