MP3100
The MP3100 is a motherboard type motion controller that can be embedded in a computer to perform motion control easily and conveniently. The MP3100 can access PC data and control motion through a rich API. It is compatible with the MP2100 series, while enhancing control performance and ease of use. In addition to high-speed and high-precision motion, it has also achieved strong interaction with the PC through the motion API.

Realize high-speed application processing
The CPU performance of the MP3100 has been enhanced, and its computing processing time has increased by four times compared to the MP2100. The minimum scan can be set to 125μs. Supports MECHATROLINK-III, with a communication cycle of 125μs, enabling high-speed and detailed instructions while also enhancing processing accuracy and trajectory accuracy.
High-speed I/O(5 input points, 4 output points), built-in high-speed I/O module, supporting I/O service under 125μs high-speed scanning. The adoption of PCI Express has improved the data communication speed with computers and can shorten working hours.
The MP3110 model (an enhanced version of the MP3100) has achieved high speed through soft motion.
The MP3110 and MP3110M adopt an architecture (soft motion) that performs motion functions on a PC and achieves high-speed motion control based on the processing speed of the PC. High speed is further achieved by supporting the high-speed PCI Express bus. By calling the motion API from a user application written in C language, devices such as servo and distributed I/O connected to the PC board controller MP3110/MP3110M that support MECHATROLINK-III can be operated.
Adopt soft motion
The architecture that performs motion functions on a PC is called soft motion. The MP3110/MP3110M adopts soft motion. The sports performance of MP3110/MP3110M depends on the processing speed of the PC. Users can make flexible choices. When they have high requirements for the performance of the device, they can choose a high-performance PC. When they hope to balance cost and performance, they can choose a low-priced PC.
Achieve a control cycle of 125μs
By adopting soft motion and PCI Express bus, it is possible to control MECHATROLINK-III devices with an industry-faster control cycle of 125μs.
Support real-time OS
It is equipped with a motion API* that runs on the real-time OS. With the real-time OS, it is possible to perform synchronous motion control of other devices such as I/O boards and image boards with the MP3110/MP3110M. In addition, by using a real-time OS(hybrid OS) that can coexist with Windows, HMI control and motion control can be achieved on a single PC, which is expected to reduce device costs.
Motion network
The MP3110 has one channel and the MP3110M has two channels, both equipped with MECHATROLINK-III communication interfaces. The number of PCI Express slots for PCS is generally small. The existing product series should make the best use of resources as much as possible.
Note: The Motion API is an interface software through which applications on a PC issue instructions to the MP3110/MP3110M. Motion control can be simply carried out through a PC.
