OVATION - Nuclear Facility Control System Replacement, Sweden
Project recognized as the first complete control system replacement at a nuclear power plant and the largest ever
controls upgrade in the industry. Ready provided teams responsible for improving, implementing, and tracking
commissioning procedures, managed multiple troubleshooting teams, provided technical instrumentation and DCS
support to commissioning teams, and provided commissioning and start-up project management and support.
Using our commissioning experience, Ready quickly identified opportunities to increase efficiency, decrease
bottlenecks, improve procedures and develop project tracking and controls. Ready provided the project team with
expertise in the commissioning process and proactively identified project risks, proposed complete solutions, and
provided short and long-term resources to implement these solutions.
OVATION - Coal Power Plants, USA
Ready provides ongoing support for the Ovation system combined with process and management expertise. Ready
has overseen the logic migration from old control systems to modern DCS, PLC, and historian systems. Ready
participates in hardware specifications, hardware and logic design reviews, factory acceptance tests, and
performance and acceptance tests. As Commissioning Manager Ready has managed the development, execution,
tracking, and acceptance of commissioning procedures for several control system projects.
OVATION - Cogen Facilities, USA
Ready has managed and executed Ovation DCS logic changes for cogeneration facilities consisting of 4 GE
LM6000’s with a single MHI 80MW steam turbine. Ready designed and coordinated moving Turbine Control Board
and Turbine Control Board functionality into the DCS. Ready also added hardware, logic, graphics, and 3rd party
connections for operation of a power plant from a remote location in a nearby power plant control room.
OVATION - 3rd Party Gas Turbine Process Improvement – Integration of 3rd Party Controls Systems – Multiple Sites.
Ready integrates the DCS with third party control systems used to optimize GE Frame 7E turbines. Ready
configures communication interfaces between the balance of plant Ovation DCS, turbine control system, and third
party control system. Ready is responsible for Ovation DCS logic and operator graphic changes. When completed,
the system seamlessly integrates with the existing plant control systems and historian.
WDPF - Siemens Westinghouse 501DA Turbine, Ecuador
WDPF support and start up of an SW 501DA power barge. Ready performed start up commissioning,
instrumentation troubleshooting, and WDPF modifications and tuned the unit to operate 10 -15 MW above
maximum load achievable before maintenance. Provided customized training to site personnel.
WDPF - GE Frame 5 Turbines, Angola,
Technical lead for commissioning and start up of GE Frame 5 turbines. Managed and performed changes to
