The YASKAWA DDSCR-R84H is a legacy high-performance Central Processing Unit (CPU) module belonging to the Memocon-SC series of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). 

It was widely used in industrial automation during the late 1990s and early 2000s, specifically for complex motion control and logic processing.

1. Introduction

The DDSCR-R84H (often designated with an "-M" suffix) serves as the "brain" of a Memocon-SC R84H system.

 It is designed to handle high-speed logic operations and manage data processing tasks like arithmetic calculations and numerical comparisons. 

A key physical feature of this board is the Memory Protect ON/OFF switch, which prevents accidental overwriting of the control program.
