The YOKOGAWA F3PU10-0N is a core AC power supply module designed for the FA-M3 (Free Application Multi-controller) and FA-M3V PLC series. 

It serves as the primary power source for the backplane logic, ensuring that the CPU and expansion modules receive a regulated voltage to operate.

1. Introduction

The F3PU10-0N is the standard AC power supply for smaller FA-M3 rack configurations. It is typically installed in the dedicated "Power" slot on the far left of the base module. 

While the older F3PU06-0N was widely used, the F3PU10-0N (and its terminal-revision successor, the F3PU10-0S) has become the common standard for 4-slot and 6-slot systems due to its reliability and wide input voltage range.

Remote I/O Stations: Providing power to distributed RIO racks in a larger plant network.

Environment Monitoring: Used in data logging systems for cleanrooms or laboratories.

HVAC Control: Powering local logic controllers in building management systems.

5. Other Models in the Same Series

Depending on the number of slots in your rack and your power source, you may need a different module:

F3PU10-0S: The direct successor to the 0N model. The only major difference is the terminal screw size (M4 instead of M3.5).

F3PU20-0S: High-capacity AC power supply (4.3A) for larger 9-slot and 13-slot racks.

F3PU30-0S: Max-capacity AC power supply (6.0A) for fully populated 16-slot racks.

F3PU16-0N / 0S: DC-input version (24V DC) with 2.0A output.

F3PU36-0S: High-capacity DC-input version (24V DC) with 6.0A output.

Important Note: If you are replacing an F3PU10-0N with an F3PU10-0S, verify your wire terminal size. 

The "-0S" uses M4 screws, which may require slightly wider fork or ring terminals than the older "-0N" M3.5 screws.
