Communication Plug-in Modules

• The 2080 DeviceNet® scanner modules can support up to 20 nodes of PowerFlex® AC drives or CompactBlock LDX I/O. This significantly reduces wiring and installation costs, especially for larger standalone machines with distributed drives and I/O. It enables seamless communication within the system, enhancing overall efficiency.

• The isolated serial port modules, such as 2080 SerialIsol, support RS-232 and RS-485 communications. With Modbus RTU and ASCII protocol support, they can handle even the most intensive serial communication tasks. Users can expand with as many as five additional serial ports, providing extensive connectivity options.

Analog I/O Plug-in Modules

• The 2080 analog I/O plug-in modules come in different configurations, such as 2-channel and 4-channel, non-isolated options. They support analog input and output, allowing for the expansion of up to 20 analog inputs. This is particularly useful in applications that require precise control of variables such as temperature, pressure, or flow rate.

• The 2-channel Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD)/Thermocouple modules (2080 RTD 2 and 2080 TC 2) support temperature control when used with PID. They provide accurate temperature measurement and feedback, enabling precise control in heating or cooling processes.
