Do not use the module in areas with excessive dust, oil fumes, conductive dust, corrosive gases, flammable gases, vibration, or impact. Avoid exposing it to high temperatures, condensation (high humidity), rain, or strong winds, as these may cause electric shock, fire, malfunctions, performance degradation, or damage.
When drilling or wiring, ensure that cutting debris and wiring scraps do not enter the ventilation slots, as this could lead to fire, equipment failure, or malfunction.
The module should be installed horizontally on a wall; do not install it on the bottom, top, or in a vertical position. Maintain a clearance of more than 50mm between the PLC CPU and other equipment or structures.
# Instruction Manual for HIMA K1412B PLC Module ## Precautions ### Installation Environment - Do not use the module in areas with excessive dust, oil fumes, conductive dust, corrosive gases, flammable gases, vibration, or impact. Avoid exposing it to high temperatures, condensation (high humidity), rain, or strong winds, as these may cause electric shock, fire, malfunctions, performance degradation, or damage. - When drilling or wiring, ensure that cutting debris and wiring scraps do not enter the ventilation slots, as this could lead to fire, equipment failure, or malfunction. - The module should be installed horizontally on a wall; do not install it on the bottom, top, or in a vertical position. Maintain a clearance of more than 50mm between the PLC CPU and other equipment or structures. ### Electrical Connections - Expansion modules, expansion boards, and cables must be firmly connected to the designated connectors. Loose connections may result in malfunctions. - PLC signal input and output cables must not be routed through the same cable. Signal input cables and output cables should not share the same conduit with other power cables, nor should they be bundled together. - In environments with high reliability requirements or severe power supply interference, install a 1:1 isolation transformer with a shielding layer to reduce interference between the equipment and the ground. Additionally, an LC filter circuit can be connected in series at the power input end. ### External Safety Circuits - For hazardous loads that could cause harm to users, in addition to considerations in the control program, design an external emergency stop circuit to reliably cut off the power supply of the harmful load in the event of a PLC failure. - For control systems involving reversible operations such as forward and reverse rotation, set up external electrical interlock protection. For control systems involving reciprocating motion or lifting/lowering movement, install external limit protection circuits. ### Operation and Maintenance - Before installing, operating, maintaining, or inspecting this product, thoroughly read and understand this manual and all related documents, and handle the module carefully and correctly. - Operation and maintenance of the PLC must be performed by professional personnel; unauthorized personnel are not allowed to operate it arbitrarily. - Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the PLC.
